Mix #011 By Celsius

Celsius steps up to throw down this week’s Deep House London mixtape, and he comes through firing on all cylinders. The producer has only been around for a couple of years but has already garnered support from many of our scene’s top tastemakers including Dirtybird’s Claude VonStroke, Huxley, Skream and Radio 1 icon, Pete Tong MBE. Not bad going really is it? Which is why we thought he’d make a great addition to the podcast series…

His debut release ‘Super FM EP’ hit the streets in 2012 on Uno Mas Records, with lead track ‘Sentiment’ gaining Radio 1 play from Annie Mac, Jaymo & Andy George and even a spin from Nick Grimshaw. Not long after that came club banger ‘This Way’, which he cleverly offered up as a free download, quickly gaining a new raft of support and spreading his sound even further.

His brilliant ‘Must Be You’ then became one of the most talked about tracks on the award-winning Moda Black album. He then brought out an EP with Jaymo & Andy George’s label, which was entitled ‘Thought As Much’. A release described as musically endowed, soulful, impeccably produced and, quite clearly, a native of South London.

Possibly his biggest step so far has been joining Kerri Chandler’s MadTech roster, following in the footsteps of Citizen, No Artificial Colours, and Voyeur. At Madtech he unveiled the ‘Incoming EP’, which cracked the Beatport House top 20. After that came more free downloads via Uno Mas and another strong Madtech release…

Now he’s set to keep on pushing forward, with plenty of music due in the latter part of this year and 2015 looking like another full-on year, too. We’re happy to have him on board and we’re sure you’re going to enjoy this fantastic mix.
